I thought it would be fun to start a page for sharing recipes for busy moms like me. If you want to share a recipe, that would be great. I know I am always looking for shortcuts and healthy meals for my family as well as healthy snacks too.
Here’s the first one:
Best Banana Bread
10 Servings 1 Loaf
1 1/4 Hours 8 min prep
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 bananas, finely crushed
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and crushed bananas.
- Combine well.
- Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla.
- Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
- Keeps well, refrigerated.
Here’s another one that is easy and healthy too. My kids call it “orange pudding.”
Orange Dream Salad
- 2 pkg. sugar free vanilla cook and serve pudding
- 1 pkg. orange sugar fee jello
- 3 cups hot water
- 2-11oz. mandarin oranges in light syrup
- 1-12oz. cool whip
- Mix dry pudding and jello.
- Add water and mix well.
- Cook and stir until it begins to thicken.
- Cool. Fold in fruit and whipped topping.
